A Smattering of Sketches

Being a prolific artist, Shamine King is rarely without her sketchbook, and produces character studies, comics, and generally doodles a lot on an almost daily basis. As well as drawing, she enjoys playing computer games, among them The Witcher, Assassin's Creed, and the Mass Effect series. She particularly enjoys MMORPGs, and her more recent games include World of Warcraft and Star Wars: the Old Republic.

Below are some miscellaneous comics and fanart she has produced, featuring original characters. All images were created for recreational purposes only, and have not been used for commercial gain. No copyright infringement intended.

Star Wars: the Old Republic

Though she prefers drawing snappy comics with quick wit and dry humour, Shamine King attempted to create a more serious character, suffering from severe paranoid schizophrenia. In order to do so she read numerous websites and watched documentaries about real-life serial killers, medical disabilities, and health disorders. The following comic was the culmination of six month's research, and was meant to evoke a more serious tone:

Neopets

Regarded as a children's website, Neopets.com was one of Shamine King's earliest forms of inspiration, and she occasionally enjoys drawing short comics featuring her original characters. The following comics have been published in the Neopian Times, the site's official online newspaper.
